Chris Campion has one of the longest running residencies at 11th St. Bar, "The Last Thursday of Every Month."  Screamer Party is an electronic duo featuring Tony Bruno and Chris Campion playing the classic 80's songs of legendary New York radio station WLIR. The name is a play on "Screamer of the Week" the station's old listener contest for best new song. So spike up that hair and get ready to dance to music from: Duran Duran, The Cure, INXS, early U2, The Smiths, Prince, Depeche Mode,The Clash, OMD, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Psychedelic Furs, Tears for Fears and so MUCH more!!! 

Every Sunday

Every Sunday night is our Traditional Irish Seisiún.  This year they are celebrating their 25th year with us!  It is one of the longest running seisiúns in NYC and is hosted by Tony DeMarco (fiddle).  Other guest musicians join in as the night goes on. In the past the seisiún has been the subject of an article in the NY Times and Tony appeared on “Live From Here” with Chris Thile on NPR. Without a doubt one of the best things you can do on a Sunday Night in NYC!

Every Monday for over 10+ years now is Jazz Night at 11th St. Bar.  Our house band, "The 11th St. Bar Quintet", is comprised of Richard Clements piano, Murray Wall bass, Taro Okomoto drums, Grant Stewart tenor sax, and Joe Magnarelli trumpet.  It is a show not to be missed.  Come on down and support our local musicians!

9:30 - The Oystermen are an Americana band that knows how to bring the party! Since releasing their debut album as a trumpet-and-guitar duo in June 2024, they've expanded their lineup to include a rhythm section and now perform around NYC as a full four-piece band. Described by The Ugly Hug music journal as "Brooklyn's newest bluegrass super-force", their shows are split between originals and covers of the old-timey songs they love.

8:00 - August James and his band bring a mix of original tunes and country standards that lend themselves to dancing and drinking beer from the bottle.

For 30 years, Greg Humphreys has been a bandleader, guitarist, songwriter and singer, touring across the U.S., Canada and Europe, fronting North Carolina bands Dillon Fence and Hobex and his NYC-based Electric Trio.  Greg’s songs have been featured in the Netflix hit series OBX and the ‘90s classic film “Rounders.” He has released albums on Atlantic Records and London Records in addition to the catalog of music released on his own Phrex Records imprint.   Greg continues his first-Wednesday-of-the-month residency at 11th Street Bar with some of NYC’s finest musicians.  https://www.greghumphreys.net/ 

Singer-Songwriter Julia King is a natural born rebel with a voice like honey on gravel. Her diverse songwriting style falls into a category she likes to call, ‘Misfit Americana.’ There are hints of R&B, Jazz, Country, Pop, and Rock and Roll in everything she does. She has never really fit a mold and doesn’t plan to. Celebrated for music that is undeniably relatable, King turns everyday therapy into sonic art. 

Her debut album ‘Radio Therapy’ was released in January 2020 yielding some minor success on the charts. Her first single, ‘Best Life’ reached #135 on the Americana charts. She has written songs for artist Kara Grainger (Favorite Sin) that appear on Grainger’s 2018 album ‘Living With Your Ghost,’ which reached #3 on the Billboard Blues Album Charts. King has recorded numerous singles and EP’s and performed hundreds of gigs including Long Island’s famed Stephen Talkhouse, and NYC’s Bitter End & the Rockwood Music Hall. She looks forward to adding her upcoming performance at 11th Street Barto that list.

The Whiskey Biscuits are a five-piece country-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY.  Formed over a mutual love of American roots music, including classic country and rock & roll, Whiskey Biscuits sets serve as a tribute to undersung songwriters (Flying Burrito Bros, John Prine, Warren Zevon), radio favorites (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty), and a catalog of original music influenced by all of the above. The band has garnered a reputation for rowdy live performances and has become a sought-after act among the Brooklyn country scene, working weekly as the house band at the famed 250+ capacity venue, Desert 5 Spot, as well as making regular appearances at respected country scene institution Skinny Dennis. Having cut their teeth here, the band feels a special relationship to 11th St Bar and sees these shows as an opportunity to share in the collective culture of song that has long been part of the bar’s identity. From a young age Leah Tash was drawn to folk, blues and country music and found solace in artists like Bob Dylan, Bessie Smith and Johnny Cash. These early influences now dance through the stories Leah tells in song, as she reflects on healing, heartache and the nurturing of an adventurous spirit. The Jazzholes play classics from the Stones, the Who, Lou Reed, the Dead, the Doors and plenty more. They've been at it since their early NY days, and you will feel the bond of those years of friendship as much as the jammy groove of the music.  They are Jason Camillos guitar/percussion, Chris Fischer drums, Paul McDaniel bass, John Nesbett keys, Pete Schellbach guitar, Tony Verbeck guitar, everyone on vocals.

The man Jerry Lee Lewis once likened to “that Cash kid, but good” has enjoyed a long and varied career. Jack Grace is that man: a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who’s been touring and recording for over 25 years. His duet with Norah Jones, “Bad Wind Blowing” was a standout tune on his last recording, Everything I Say Is A Lie, produced by Joan Jett and Steve Earle’s former guitarist Eric Ambel. He’s performed with a diverse collection of artists, like the aforementioned Lewis as well as Doc Watson, Fishbone, Junior Brown, The Meters and has even shared the bill with Merle Haggard. With a revolving cast of characters, he leads anything from simple guitar, bass, and drum trios to seven-piece ensembles complete with piano, steel, trombone, and trumpet. He will be performing on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 11th St. Bar going forward.   JackGrace.com

The Hugh Pool Band has a residency here at 11th St. Bar on the third Thursday of each month unless Hugh’s out of town rocking the rest of America. Hugh is a musician, songwriter, producer, and member of the New York Blues Hall of Fame who plays guitar in a unique style that melds traditional Delta blues, country music and classic and psychedelic rock and roll. His instrument of choice is a National Steel Triolian, a resonator guitar somewhat like a Dobro, played with a spark plug wrench through an Ibanez TS-9 overdrive pedal and a Dunlop Dyna comp compressor. He also plays Harmonica, Banjo, Lap Steel, Mandolin, sings and plays standard electric guitars. Mike Ferrio's previous band, the much-feted Tandy, came to an end with the untimely death of his musical partner Drew Glackin. Good Luck Mountain is Mike Ferrio's response to the shock and grief of that event, and also a fresh start in a new direction. Good Luck Mountain is the name he's adopted for his new band as well as the name of the record; "seasoned players", he calls his new band mates, who include Konrad Meissner from The Silos (with whom Drew Glackin also played) and Matt Mays, once of The Guthries, but there's a host of other players on this album which features music that is carefully built - layers of sound that spring from some synthesiser atmospherics in the background and with changes of emphasis that are characterised by use of strings or horns.

These ladies perform their own sets with their bands under the name "Three Songwriters Walk Into A Bar" and always pack the room.

New York City-based, British-born singer/songwriter James Maddock makes literate and heartfelt folk and Americana-influenced music. Born in Leicester, England, Maddock was a member of the band's Fire Next Time and Wood before embarking on a solo career.  Seeing him in a small setting like this is a real treat. http://JamesMaddock.net   Shawn Pelton is a first call drummer for a number of musicians and has been the drummer for SNL since 1992.

Sanford: is the brainchild of Brooklyn based, but South Carolina born musician Jay Sanford. He does all of the writing, arranging, and performing for his recorded music, including his previous original releases: “Gone to Hell” and “Farewell”. Pulling from a wide range of musical influences, Sanford: curates his live show setlists across genres and decades. From Hank Williams to Phoebe Bridgers to Sam Cooke to Joy Division to Fats Waller to The Rolling Stones, he subscribes to the idea that good music is good music…And to quote Frank Zappa, “Music is the best”.  Catch them here the first Thursday of every other month.

 A supergroup of sorts featuring veteran singer-songwriters Matt Keating and Steve Mayone. LiViCi is a whimsical pop trio that weaves together the vibrant threads of retro nostalgia, modern day favorites and musical obscurities in a soundscape of lush vocal harmonies with kick-ass guitar.   The band is the melding of Liz Webster, Vinnie DeMasi and Cindy Ball, whose musical careers collectively have spanned the genres of Broadway musical theatre (Li), psychedelic rock, classic rock, new wave (Vi), trad jazz and Hawaiian swing (Ci).   The kaleidoscope of musical influences come together in a curiosity shop of popular music--intimate and introspective yet boldly feel-good and sure to leave you with a smile.

Puma Perl Band has been merging Puma’s poetry with rock and roll and music of all genres for over 10 years. Joff Wilson (guitar), Joe Sztabnik (bass), and Dave Donen (percussion) play both original compositions and covers behind her spoken word. Each show includes a couple of songs by Joe and Joff, and the band is often joined by other friends playing everything from sax to harp to trombone to violin. Puma and the other band members have been stalwarts of the NYC downtown scene and have performed individually and with other projects throughout the United States and Europe.

SoulCake singer/songwriter/guitarist Joff Wilson leads the band; Laura Sativa brings flute and percussion to the arrangements and Sarafe is a distinctive presence on bass.  SoulCake has earned a reputation for shows that are fun and full of surprises, from unannounced guests and spontaneous repertoire to new interpretations of audience favorites.

Steak was founded in 1992 in Boulder, Colorado by 2 New York natives, Erik Lieblein (“a disturbingly refreshing front man” -Colorado Daily) and John Pancaldo (aka Jack Grace- “the hardest working eyebrows in showbiz" -SF Weekly) with Stu Damm on drums and TJ Thomas on bass.  Mike Jay has been the primary bass player for most of the 21st century.  The eclectic stage show that included giving away cars and singing, The Jordache Theme with dance moves, gained momentum and Steak began traveling between the East and West Coast a fair amount occasionally accompanying bands such as, The Beat Farmers, NRBQ, Uncle Tupelo, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Fishbone, The Funky Meters, Leo Nocentelli and Zigaboo Modeliste, Steak got a tour bus and lived on the road, relocating to San Francisco and eventually based themselves in their birthplace of New York City. Steak is primarily known these days for their song, Big Bear, which is featured in the climax of the Fox Searchlight comedy hit, Super Troopers (also Super Troopers 2). Light Sweet Crude is a country music band from NYC consisting of Joe Weisenthal, Paul Williams, Thomas Herndon, Alex Williams, Steve Carlin, and Javi Cruz. They play all originals, and rehearse on the Lower East Side. They have two EPs out: Lower East Side Country and Live on the Lower East Side

Marc’s life has been about pursuing twin passions: creating and recording his American roots songs, and exploring remote areas of the desert and mountain West. After signing his first publishing contract while in law school, he fronted rock bands and performed regularly in New York City clubs like CBGB, Wetlands, and The Knitting Factory.  Marc and Co-Producer Mike Ricciardi now present RIDE, ten cinematic recordings reflecting his romantic connection to the American West and exploring the value of its myths to contemporary culture.

Formed in 2010, the Bakersfield Breakers are a three-piece instrumental group from New York City that consists of Keith Yaun (Guitar), John Hamilton (Bass Guitar), and John DiGiulio (Drums).  The band’s mission is to reawaken the classic guitar-driven sound of 1950’s Bakersfield and the driving tunes of 1960’s surf rock. The Combine is a New York-based band of seasoned musicians founded by Jonathan Gregg (“New York’s premier pedal steel guitarist,” according to AM New York), who play instrumental versions of 20th-century pop hits across the decades with a lineup that includes electric  guitar, trombone, upright bass, and and drums. Individually their resumes include the Waitresses, the Raybeats, Norah Jones, Jimmy LaFave, Mary Timony, Tammy Faye Starlight, Cliff Westfall and countless others. Their June show at 11th St.  comes on the heels of SUSS’ spring tour, which included numerous appearances at SXSW and headlining shows at the Big Ears festival. 

If you’ve ever wondered what kind of band would jam on Gerry & the Pacemakers, Duke Ellington and Tears for Fears in one set and make it sound like it all hatched from the same egg, this the show for you.

9:00 - E. James Smith, a friend of 11th Street Bar since its opening in 1997, returns with The E. James Smith Band in fine form ready to rock and launch the 11th Bar into summer. The band will be featuring many songs from the album Don’t Ge Me Wrong… such as The Grove, She’ll Take You So High, Abel to Jesus, Afterlife Without You and several new surprises. 7:00 - Casey Neill is a songwriter from Portland, Oregon performing high energy indie folk, infused with haunting melodies and weather beaten narratives. Neill performs as a solo act as well as with his band, The Norway Rats. Grammy Nominated songwriter,  NY Blues Hall of Fame inductee,and 2024 featured artist for Manhattan Short Film festival,  Christine Santelli (guitar, vocals) teams up with Blues Hall of Fame, powerhouse Heather Lil’ Mama Hardy (fiddle,vocals).  With a new recording “Live in the Parlour” and recently playing the Hudson West Music festival in Jersey City, Santelli and Hardy are out and about doing festivals, house concerts bar gigs performance venues throughout the country..
