Every Sunday

Every Sunday night is our Traditional Irish Seisiún.  It is one of the longest running seisiúns in NYC and is hosted by Tony DeMarco (fiddle).  Other guest musicians join in as the night goes on. In the past the seisiún has been the subject of an article in the NY Times and Tony appeared on “Live From Here” with Chris Thile on NPR. Without a doubt one of the best things you can do on a Sunday Night in NYC!

Every Monday

Every Monday for over 10+ years now is Jazz Night at 11th St. Bar.  Our house band, "The 11th St. Bar Quintet", is comprised of Richard Clements piano, Taro Okomoto drums, Grant Stewart tenor sax, and Joe Magnarelli trumpet.  It is a show not to be missed.  Come on down and support our local musicians!

            Supremo Massiv is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer born and currently living in Brooklyn, NY. His soulful psychedelic-folk sound is a product of an array of influences by artists all across the musical spectrum. The artists of the 60’s all the way up through the 80’s NY punk era to the 90’s Hip Hop era, would come to shape the attitude, soul and messages in his song writing.

New York City-based, British-born singer/songwriter James Maddock makes literate and heartfelt folk and Americana-influenced music. Born in Leicester, England, Maddock was a member of the band's Fire Next Time and Wood before embarking on a solo career.  Seeing him in a small setting like this is a real treat. http://JamesMaddock.net  Brian Mitchell is well known in music industry circles and beyond for working with some of music's most respected artists including Levon Helm & The Midnight Ramble Band, Bob Dylan, BB King, and Allen Toussaint as well as recording and performing his own original music.  Shawn Pelton is a first call drummer for a number of musicians and has been the drummer for SNL since 1992.

Chris Campion has one of the longest running residencies at 11th St. Bar, "The Last Thursday of Every Month."  He brings an eclectic mix of both original and cover songs tied together by some of the best between song banter you'll ever hear. He is joined by any number of his musical co conspirators including Bennett LaGreca, Paul Giannini, Bill Ryan, Mike Cranmer, or even his brother, Billy Campion. Mike Ferrio's previous band, the much-feted Tandy, came to an end with the untimely death of his musical partner Drew Glackin. Good Luck Mountain is Mike Ferrio's response to the shock and grief of that event, and also a fresh start in a new direction. Good Luck Mountain is the name he's adopted for his new band as well as the name of the record; "seasoned players", he calls his new band mates, who include Konrad Meissner from The Silos (with whom Drew Glackin also played) and Matt Mays, once of The Guthries, but there's a host of other players on this album which features music that is carefully built - layers of sound that spring from some synthesiser atmospherics in the background and with changes of emphasis that are characterised by use of strings or horns.

For 30 years, Greg Humphreys has been a bandleader, guitarist, songwriter and singer, touring across the U.S., Canada and Europe, fronting North Carolina bands Dillon Fence and Hobex and his NYC-based Electric Trio.  Greg’s songs have been featured in the Netflix hit series OBX and the ‘90s classic film “Rounders.” He has released albums on Atlantic Records and London Records in addition to the catalog of music released on his own Phrex Records imprint.   Greg continues his first-Wednesday-of-the-month residency at 11th Street Bar with some of NYC’s finest musicians.  https://www.greghumphreys.net/

These ladies perform their own sets with their bands under the name "Three Songwriters Walk Into A Bar" and always pack the room.

The now famous Second Wednesday of Every Month Residency is always a full on treat of a performance. Fronted by P.J. O'Connor and Billy Ryan with the backing band of Chris Fischer, Brendan Ryan, and Patrick Carmichael… although you never know who may show up and join them. They adapt their show every month with new artists in their catalogue. No two shows are ever the same!

Please join The E. James Smith Band as they return to the 11th Street Bar to play live versions of the songs from the recently released 13-song album “Don’t Get Me Wrong…” as well as several new songs and surprises. This will be a fun night as Kevin Kinane, drummer from The E. James Smith Band, will perform an opening set of his original songs in his very unique one-man-band style. See below.

Blowing in from New Mexico, Kevin Kinane brings his unique act to The 11th Street Bar for his New York City debut.  Kevin creates amazing, intricate percussion loops using found objects then performs hilarious original songs on guitar, Chapman Stick and harmonica over the loops.  A professional multi-instrumentalist for 30 years, Kevin will also be playing drum set with E. James Smith after his set.

The man Jerry Lee Lewis once likened to “that Cash kid, but good” has enjoyed a long and varied career. Jack Grace is that man: a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who’s been touring and recording for over 25 years. His duet with Norah Jones, “Bad Wind Blowing” was a standout tune on his last recording, Everything I Say Is A Lie, produced by Joan Jett and Steve Earle’s former guitarist Eric Ambel. He’s performed with a diverse collection of artists, like the aforementioned Lewis as well as Doc Watson, Fishbone, Junior Brown, The Meters and has even shared the bill with Merle Haggard. With a revolving cast of characters, he leads anything from simple guitar, bass, and drum trios to seven-piece ensembles complete with piano, steel, trombone, and trumpet. He will be performing on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 11th St. Bar going forward.   JackGrace.com

Big Mamou plays a rocking mix of original and traditional Cajun, Country, and Zydeco. They absolutely packed the house and blew everyone away at their “Fat Tuesday” performance last year. Fronted by accordionist/singer John Sherman and singer Julianne Fenhagen, the lineup also includes guitarist/pedal steel player Michael Levine, upright bassist Jim Fenhagen, drummer Billy Loos, and trombonist Fred Parcells with new addition Steve Skinner on acoustic guitar and piano! The Hugh Pool Band has a residency here at 11th St. Bar on the third Thursday of each month unless Hugh’s out of town rocking the rest of America. Hugh is a musician, songwriter, producer, and member of the New York Blues Hall of Fame who plays guitar in a unique style that melds traditional Delta blues, country music and classic and psychedelic rock and roll. His instrument of choice is a National Steel Triolian, a resonator guitar somewhat like a Dobro, played with a spark plug wrench through an Ibanez TS-9 overdrive pedal and a Dunlop Dyna comp compressor. Sanford: is the brainchild of Brooklyn based, but South Carolina born musician Jay Sanford. He does all of the writing, arranging, and performing for his recorded music, including his previous original releases: “Gone to Hell” and “Farewell”. Pulling from a wide range of musical influences, Sanford: curates his live show setlists across genres and decades. From Hank Williams to Phoebe Bridgers to Sam Cooke to Joy Division to Fats Waller to The Rolling Stones, he subscribes to the idea that good music is good music…And to quote Frank Zappa, “Music is the best”.  Catch them here the first Thursday of every other month.

Puma Perl Band has been merging Puma’s poetry with rock and roll and music of all genres for over 10 years. Joff Wilson (guitar), Joe Sztabnik (bass), and Dave Donen (percussion) play both original compositions and covers behind her spoken word. Each show includes a couple of songs by Joe and Joff, and the band is often joined by other friends playing everything from sax to harp to trombone to violin. Puma and the other band members have been stalwarts of the NYC downtown scene and have performed individually and with other projects throughout the United States and Europe.

SoulCake singer/songwriter/guitarist Joff Wilson leads the band; Laura Sativa brings flute and percussion to the arrangements and Sarafe is a distinctive presence on bass.  SoulCake has earned a reputation for shows that are fun and full of surprises, from unannounced guests and spontaneous repertoire to new interpretations of audience favorites.

The Whiskey Biscuits are a classic rock and country band covering the hits and playing some soon to be original hits! Formed by Robert Cody Maxwell (guitar, vocals), Rick Williams (drums, vocals), and Bronson Taylor (guitar, vocals) in April 2021 and joined later by badass bass player Josh Dore, the boys are out to make sure everyone is having a good time.

Annually on September 10th

No real event here, we just usually get together on what was Jack's Birthday and celebrate the greatest guy to ever walk through the doors to this bar.  He was the King of Happy Hour and we named our Happy Hour after him.
