Another event for the Liverpool July tour! On July 28th, LFCNY is excited to welcome The Late Challenge Podcast (Mo Stewart and Gareth Roberts) with special guest Josh Wlliams of the Distance Covered Podcast!

This event will be at the 11th Street Bar and will run from 8-11PM! It will be a fun night of stories, games, events.

This will be a free event, however we are suggesting a donation of $10 at the door to benefit Ruth’s Refuge, who provide necessary supplies for recently the recently resettled here in NYC, and the Father’s Heart. A donation match to Fans Supporting Foodbanks in Liverpool will be in the cards.

Every Sunday

Every Sunday night is our Traditional Irish Seisiún.  It is one of the longest running seisiúns in NYC and is hosted by Tony DeMarco (fiddle).  Other guest musicians join in as the night goes on. In the past the seisiún has been the subject of an article in the NY Times and Tony appeared on “Live From Here” with Chris Thile on NPR. Without a doubt one of the best things you can do on a Sunday Night in NYC!

Every Monday

Every Monday for over 10+ years now is Jazz Night at 11th St. Bar.  Our house band, "The 11th St. Bar Quintet", is comprised of Richard Clements piano, Murray Wall bass, Taro Okomoto drums, Grant Stewart tenor sax, and Joe Magnarelli trumpet.  It is a show not to be missed.  Come on down and support our local musicians!

The Combine is an eclectic five-piece instrumental combo that performs pop tunes from the 60s and beyond along with some standards, arranged for pedal steel guitar, trombone, upright bass, electric guitar and drums. 

With their uplifting harmonies and dusty guitars, they conjure images of open plains, midnight trains, and stories whispered through the wind. Each song feels like a goodtime revival, equal parts porchlight prayer and juke joint confession. The band’s raw emotion and lyrical honesty create a connection that’s as intimate as it is transcendent—music meant to be felt as much as heard.

The band is the acoustic vocal project of NYC resident and Texan-born and raised musician / songwriter Phil Gammage. Joining Phil are a group of extraordinary musicians playing guitar, mandolin, percussion, dobro, fiddle, percussion, and harmonica. Oh, and did we forget to mention their beautiful harmonies? It’s good time music exploring the country, blues, and folk traditions.

The Whiskey Biscuits are a five-piece country-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY.  Formed over a mutual love of American roots music, including classic country and rock & roll, Whiskey Biscuits sets serve as a tribute to undersung songwriters (Flying Burrito Bros, John Prine, Warren Zevon), radio favorites (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty), and a catalog of original music influenced by all of the above. The band has garnered a reputation for rowdy live performances and has become a sought-after act among the Brooklyn country scene, working weekly as the house band at the famed 250+ capacity venue, Desert 5 Spot, as well as making regular appearances at respected country scene institution Skinny Dennis. Having cut their teeth here, the band feels a special relationship to 11th St Bar and sees these shows as an opportunity to share in the collective culture of song that has long been part of the bar’s identity. The Whiskey Biscuits sets at 11th St are characterised by an emphasis on original material and more obscure covers aimed at the heads, often culminating in a dancing-on-tables celebration of rock and roll songwriting.

Formed in 2010, the Bakersfield Breakers are a three-piece instrumental group from New York City that consists of Keith Yaun (Guitar), John Hamilton (Bass Guitar), and John DiGiulio (Drums).  The band’s mission is to reawaken the classic guitar-driven sound of 1950’s Bakersfield and the driving tunes of 1960’s surf rock. The now famous Second Wednesday of Every Month Residency is always a full on treat of a performance. Fronted by P.J. O'Connor and Billy Ryan with the backing band of Chris Fischer, Brendan Ryan, and Patrick Carmichael… although you never know who may show up and join them. They adapt their show every month with new artists in their catalogue. No two shows are ever the same!

“MULLER” is Mike Muller on vocals and bass, Jack Morer on guitar, Ari Martin on keyboards and Jeremy Driesen behind the drums (a stacked lineup, all A+). MULLER is Mike’s new group featuring his original blues based rock compositions along with a number of rare gems culled from his many years as a musician. All of the original songs performed at The 11th Street Bar will be on his first solo album to be released in the first quarter of ‘27 (maybe sooner). Three of his songs have already been receiving airplay in Europe, primarily in France where Mike has a loyal following. Mike has always been a singer but this is the first time he takes the stage as a frontman. Both a wily, charismatic performer and a fire-breathing virtuoso of the violin, Chris Murphy crams more musical mileage into a short set than most players do in an entire tour. Dials is an instrumental guitar–bass–drums trio reimagining classic rock songs and beloved covers with a warm rock tone and subtle jazz inflection. Featuring Diego Voglino on drums (Marshall Crenshaw, Bruce Springsteen), Gary Wang on bass (Anat Fort, Taylor Mac, Madeleine Peyroux), and Jason Darling on guitar (Yep Roc recording artist, James Maddock, Leona Naess), Dials focuses on feel, space, and melody, letting each song unfold and draw listeners in. Their set invites the audience to sink into deep grooves, recognize the tunes they love, and hear them transformed in an exciting, immersive atmosphere where every detail of the playing can be heard. 

Big Mamou plays a rocking mix of original and traditional Cajun, Country, and Zydeco. They absolutely packed the house and blew everyone away at their “Fat Tuesday” performance last year. Fronted by accordionist/singer John Sherman and singer Julianne Fenhagen, the lineup also includes guitarist/pedal steel player Michael Levine, upright bassist Jim Fenhagen, drummer Billy Loos, and trombonist Fred Parcells with new addition Steve Skinner on acoustic guitar and piano! New York City-based, British-born singer/songwriter James Maddock makes literate and heartfelt folk and Americana-influenced music. Born in Leicester, England, Maddock was a member of the band's Fire Next Time and Wood before embarking on a solo career.  He spent 2 months this Fall opening for the Counting Crows across Europe. Puma Perl and Friends has been merging Puma’s poetry with rock and roll and music of all genres for over 10 years. Joff Wilson (guitar), Joe Sztabnik (bass), and Dave Donen (percussion) play both original compositions and covers behind her spoken word. Each show includes a couple of songs by Joe and Joff, and the band is often joined by other friends playing everything from sax to harp to trombone to violin. Puma and the other band members have been stalwarts of the NYC downtown scene and have performed individually and with other projects throughout the United States and Europe.

SoulCake singer/songwriter/guitarist Joff Wilson leads the band; Laura Sativa brings flute and percussion to the arrangements and Sarafe is a distinctive presence on bass.  SoulCake has earned a reputation for shows that are fun and full of surprises, from unannounced guests and spontaneous repertoire to new interpretations of audience favorites.

Lucky 7 is back with a vengeance. Formed  by Barry Ryan(Rockats) and Kenny Margolis (Mink DeVille,Cracker), Lucky 7 recorded three albums and toured The USA, Canada, Europe and Scandinavia from the mid 80’s to the mid 90’s. Writers from Rolling Stone and The New York Times have called their music zydebilly and a Cajun rhythm & blues rock’n’roll gumbo. 

Back with Ryan and Margolis are percussionist Boris Kinberg  (Mink DeVille) and original bass player Kevin Shaw (Hipp Pipps). Joining Lucky 7 is drummer Dave Donen, who has played with many great artists including Chuck Berry, Tim Hardin, Lenny Kaye and Marc Ribot and has played on 65+ recordings.

Jon and The Projectors perform original, vibrant, and passionate songs. Hailing influences from pop, funk, soul, and jazz JATP fuses tight grooves with infectious hooks and virtuosic improvised solos.

Jon and The Projectors have performed at historic NYC venues such as: RockwoodMusic Hall, Chelsea Music Hall, Bowery Electric, Petes Candy Store, Bitter End,Mercury Lounge, The Cutting Room, Chelsea Table and Stage, Nublu, and perform high-energy cover residencies at Silver Linings Lounge, DUMBO House, Numero 28, and Riverpark.

Sanford: is the brainchild of Brooklyn based, but South Carolina born musician Jay Sanford. He does all of the writing, arranging, and performing for his recorded music, including his previous original releases: “Gone to Hell” and “Farewell”. Pulling from a wide range of musical influences, Sanford: curates his live show setlists across genres and decades. From Hank Williams to Phoebe Bridgers to Sam Cooke to Joy Division to Fats Waller to The Rolling Stones, he subscribes to the idea that good music is good music…And to quote Frank Zappa, “Music is the best”.  Catch them here the first Thursday of every other month.

Jamie Thomas had his musical epiphany not at the proverbial crossroads but a schoolyard in Astoria, Queens, where the music of Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones and others touched his soul and inspired him to write songs. He honed his skills as a performer playing New York clubs with his band 3rd Man Out before striking out on his own. Jamie continues to perform his own steeped-in-the-tradition originals with his reinterpretations of other numbers from the great real American music songbook that span from its origins to today.

For 25 years, singer-songwriter Vincent Brue has been on a quest to write the wittiest, catchiest, most heartfelt, humorous, poignant and anthemic song of all time, which is how he’s wound up releasing roughly 50 albums of original material that don’t quite hit the mark (but hey, they’re still pretty okay). Though he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a hair modeling career in 2024, Vincent is back on the East Coast to perform a short run of shows with his band of Jersey Shore legends The Long Branch Davidians, in order to remind his flock of the healing power of rock and roll, and indoctrinate the uninitiated. The man Jerry Lee Lewis once likened to “that Cash kid, but good” has enjoyed a long and varied career. Jack Grace is that man: a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who’s been touring and recording for over 25 years. His duet with Norah Jones, “Bad Wind Blowing” was a standout tune on his last recording, Everything I Say Is A Lie, produced by Joan Jett and Steve Earle’s former guitarist Eric Ambel. He’s performed with a diverse collection of artists, like the aforementioned Lewis as well as Doc Watson, Fishbone, Junior Brown, The Meters and has even shared the bill with Merle Haggard.  A supergroup of sorts featuring veteran singer-songwriters Matt Keating and Steve Mayone. Comparisons to Nashville Skyline-era Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Wilco, The Jayhawks and other upbeat auteurs… In short, a melodic potpourri that allows for a sumptuous set of songs. Formed in 2015 by songwriter veterans Matt Keating and Steve Mayone, the Bastards have amassed an impressive catalogue, debuting new songs on their popular New Song Forward Friday series. With Jason Mercer on Bass and Greg Wieczorek on Drums, the Bastards just released their debut album!

Hugh is a musician, songwriter, producer, and member of the New York Blues Hall of Fame who plays guitar in a unique style that melds traditional Delta blues, country music and classic and psychedelic rock and roll. His instrument of choice is a National Steel Triolian, a resonator guitar somewhat like a Dobro, played with a spark plug wrench through an Ibanez TS-9 overdrive pedal and a Dunlop Dyna comp compressor. He also plays Harmonica, Banjo, Lap Steel, Mandolin, sings and plays standard electric guitars. Alyson Faith is a NYC-based singer/songwriter who has been performing for over the past two decades. Originally from Long Island, Alyson writes on the piano and performs acoustically and with a full band. Her songs have been featured in independent films, compilations and on TV shows. The Pine Cats: John Putnam and Mike Visceglia have been musical friends and colleagues for decades, first meeting at an audition for recording artist Eve Moon, a fixture in the New York City folk rock scene in the 1980’s. In 2020, John and Mike responded to the pandemic by working on music just as a duo. Inspired by John’s original acoustic music, as well as a collection of classic blues and folk rock classics

Marc’s life has been about pursuing twin passions: creating and recording his American roots songs, and exploring remote areas of the desert and mountain West. After signing his first publishing contract while in law school, he fronted rock bands and performed regularly in New York City clubs like CBGB, Wetlands, and The Knitting Factory.  Marc and Co-Producer Mike Ricciardi now present RIDE, ten cinematic recordings reflecting his romantic connection to the American West and exploring the value of its myths to contemporary culture.

Sanford: is the brainchild of Brooklyn based, but South Carolina born musician Jay Sanford. He does all of the writing, arranging, and performing for his recorded music, including his previous original releases: “Gone to Hell” and “Farewell”. Pulling from a wide range of musical influences, Sanford: curates his live show setlists across genres and decades. From Hank Williams to Phoebe Bridgers to Sam Cooke to Joy Division to Fats Waller to The Rolling Stones, he subscribes to the idea that good music is good music…And to quote Frank Zappa, “Music is the best”.  Catch them here the first Thursday of every other month.

O'Connor and Billy Ryan with the backing band of Chris Fischer, Brendan Ryan, and Patrick Carmichael… although you never know who may show up and join them. The man Jerry Lee Lewis once likened to “that Cash kid, but good” has enjoyed a long and varied career. Jack Grace is that man: a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who’s been touring and recording for over 25 years. His duet with Norah Jones, “Bad Wind Blowing” was a standout tune on his last recording, Everything I Say Is A Lie, produced by Joan Jett and Steve Earle’s former guitarist Eric Ambel. He’s performed with a diverse collection of artists, like the aforementioned Lewis as well as Doc Watson, Fishbone, Junior Brown, The Meters and has even shared the bill with Merle Haggard. Hugh is a musician, songwriter, producer, and member of the New York Blues Hall of Fame who plays guitar in a unique style that melds traditional Delta blues, country music and classic and psychedelic rock and roll. His instrument of choice is a National Steel Triolian, a resonator guitar somewhat like a Dobro, played with a spark plug wrench through an Ibanez TS-9 overdrive pedal and a Dunlop Dyna comp compressor. He also plays Harmonica, Banjo, Lap Steel, Mandolin, sings and plays standard electric guitars. New York City-based, British-born singer/songwriter James Maddock makes literate and heartfelt folk and Americana-influenced music. Born in Leicester, England, Maddock was a member of the band's Fire Next Time and Wood before embarking on a solo career.  He spent 2 months this Fall opening for the Counting Crows across Europe.  A supergroup of sorts featuring veteran singer-songwriters Matt Keating and Steve Mayone. Comparisons to Nashville Skyline-era Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Wilco, The Jayhawks and other upbeat auteurs… In short, a melodic potpourri that allows for a sumptuous set of songs. Formed in 2015 by songwriter veterans Matt Keating and Steve Mayone, the Bastards have amassed an impressive catalogue, debuting new songs on their popular New Song Forward Friday series. With Jason Mercer on Bass and Greg Wieczorek on Drums, the Bastards just released their debut album!

The Whiskey Biscuits are a five-piece country-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY.  Formed over a mutual love of American roots music, including classic country and rock & roll, Whiskey Biscuits sets serve as a tribute to undersung songwriters (Flying Burrito Bros, John Prine, Warren Zevon), radio favorites (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty), and a catalog of original music influenced by all of the above. The band has garnered a reputation for rowdy live performances and has become a sought-after act among the Brooklyn country scene, working weekly as the house band at the famed 250+ capacity venue, Desert 5 Spot, as well as making regular appearances at respected country scene institution Skinny Dennis. Having cut their teeth here, the band feels a special relationship to 11th St Bar and sees these shows as an opportunity to share in the collective culture of song that has long been part of the bar’s identity. The Whiskey Biscuits sets at 11th St are characterised by an emphasis on original material and more obscure covers aimed at the heads, often culminating in a dancing-on-tables celebration of rock and roll songwriting.

Big Mamou plays a rocking mix of original and traditional Cajun, Country, and Zydeco. They absolutely packed the house and blew everyone away at their “Fat Tuesday” performance last year. Fronted by accordionist/singer John Sherman and singer Julianne Fenhagen, the lineup also includes guitarist/pedal steel player Michael Levine, upright bassist Jim Fenhagen, drummer Billy Loos, and trombonist Fred Parcells with new addition Steve Skinner on acoustic guitar and piano! A Christmas Tradition like no other!  The entire neighborhood it seems like comes down to sing their hearts out.  This years band is led by P.J. O’Connor and joined by Phil Kadet, Steve Mayone, Patrick Carmichael, and plenty of special guests.  The music starts promptly at 6pm and goes till around 9pm and is followed by our usual Sunday Night Traditional Irish Seisiun.

Business as usual on Christmas Eve.  Come down for a cocktail after you finish your last minute shopping!
