Big Mamou plays a rocking mix of original and traditional Cajun, Country, and Zydeco. They absolutely packed the house and blew everyone away at their “Fat Tuesday” performance last year. Fronted by accordionist/singer John Sherman and singer Julianne Fenhagen, the lineup also includes guitarist/pedal steel player Michael Levine, upright bassist Jim Fenhagen, drummer Billy Loos, and trombonist Fred Parcells with new addition Steve Skinner on acoustic guitar and piano! Every Sunday

Every Sunday night is our Traditional Irish Seisiún.  This year they are celebrating their 25th year with us!  It is one of the longest running seisiúns in NYC and is hosted by Tony DeMarco (fiddle).  Other guest musicians join in as the night goes on. In the past the seisiún has been the subject of an article in the NY Times and Tony appeared on “Live From Here” with Chris Thile on NPR. Without a doubt one of the best things you can do on a Sunday Night in NYC!

Every Monday for over 10+ years now is Jazz Night at 11th St. Bar.  Our house band, "The 11th St. Bar Quintet", is comprised of Richard Clements piano, Murray Wall bass, Taro Okomoto drums, Grant Stewart tenor sax, and Joe Magnarelli trumpet.  It is a show not to be missed.  Come on down and support our local musicians!

Formed in 2010, the Bakersfield Breakers are a three-piece instrumental group from New York City that consists of Keith Yaun (Guitar), John Hamilton (Bass Guitar), and John DiGiulio (Drums).  The band’s mission is to reawaken the classic guitar-driven sound of 1950’s Bakersfield and the driving tunes of 1960’s surf rock. The Hugh Pool Band has a residency here at 11th St. Bar on the third Thursday of each month unless Hugh’s out of town rocking the rest of America. Hugh is a musician, songwriter, producer, and member of the New York Blues Hall of Fame who plays guitar in a unique style that melds traditional Delta blues, country music and classic and psychedelic rock and roll. His instrument of choice is a National Steel Triolian, a resonator guitar somewhat like a Dobro, played with a spark plug wrench through an Ibanez TS-9 overdrive pedal and a Dunlop Dyna comp compressor. He also plays Harmonica, Banjo, Lap Steel, Mandolin, sings and plays standard electric guitars. New York City-based, British-born singer/songwriter James Maddock makes literate and heartfelt folk and Americana-influenced music. For 30 years, Greg Humphreys has been a bandleader, guitarist, songwriter and singer, touring across the U.S., Canada and Europe, fronting North Carolina bands Dillon Fence and Hobex and his NYC-based Electric Trio.  Greg’s songs have been featured in the Netflix hit series OBX and the ‘90s classic film “Rounders.” He has released albums on Atlantic Records and London Records in addition to the catalog of music released on his own Phrex Records imprint.   Greg continues his first-Wednesday-of-the-month residency at 11th Street Bar with some of NYC’s finest musicians.  https://www.greghumphreys.net/ 

The Whiskey Biscuits are a five-piece country-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY.  Formed over a mutual love of American roots music, including classic country and rock & roll, Whiskey Biscuits sets serve as a tribute to undersung songwriters (Flying Burrito Bros, John Prine, Warren Zevon), radio favorites (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty), and a catalog of original music influenced by all of the above. The band has garnered a reputation for rowdy live performances and has become a sought-after act among the Brooklyn country scene, working weekly as the house band at the famed 250+ capacity venue, Desert 5 Spot, as well as making regular appearances at respected country scene institution Skinny Dennis.  9:30 - The emergence of Felice Rosser’s FaithNYC reveals another facet of the seemingly infinite diamond of Black American music. Born in Detroit, she experienced Motown, the 1967 riots, Funkadelic, The MC5, The Stooges and The New York Dolls before moving to New York City for college. Blown away by Television at CBGB’s, she became part of the scene, befriending Samo— Jean Michel Basquiat’s tag at that time—and starting to write songs and play bass. Inspired by punk’s DIY attitude, Rock & Roll, Funk, Free Jazz, Dub, Reggae and the new Hip Hop scene all became part of her musical language. She was the bass player in Brooklyn’s all-female reggae band Sistren before she formed FaithNYC, which became part of Vernon Reid’s Black Rock Coalition. Guitarist Al Maddy was a member of Sire recording artists The Nitecaps and has played with artists as varied as Donovan and the Moroccan Jajouka master Bachir Attar. His funky psychedelic style helps create groove and space in FaithNYC's music.

8:00pm - Lucky 7 is back with a vengeance. Formed by Barry Ryan (Rockats) and Kenny Margolis (Mink DeVille,Cracker), Lucky 7 recorded three albums and toured The USA, Canada, Europe and Scandinavia from the mid 80’s to the mid 90’s. Writers from Rolling Stone and The New York Times have called their music zydebilly and a Cajun rhythm & blues rock’n’roll gumbo. Back with Ryan and Margolis are percussionist Boris Kinberg. Joining Lucky 7 is drummer Dave Donen, who has played with many great artists including Chuck Berry, Tim Hardin, Lenny Kaye and Marc Ribot and has played on 65+ recordings.

HUSH UP is an instrumental rock trio that interprets classic songs from artists like Elton John, The Beatles, Queen, and David Bowie. This new band is comprised of Steve Goulding on drums (Mekons, Graham Parker and the Rumour, Fond Farewells), Jason Darling on guitar (James Maddock, Leona Naess), and Scott Anthony on bass (Fond Farewells, Rebecca Turner, engineer at Storybook Sound.)

An eclectic songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Elisa creates dynamic performances that incorporate her raw, genre-bending style and theatrical elements. Her play with arc, humor, and vibrations, along with her visceral lyrics, cello looping, and synths, lead to a uniquely emotional experience for the audience. Her Christmas show “Happy HoliDaze” has become a staple here at 11th St. Bar and always packs the house.  Get here early for any chance of a seat!

This is a fantastic night every year as the Phil Kadet Quartet performs “A Charlie Brown Christmas” as well as their own takes on everyone’s favorite Christmas Carols.  

Phil Kadet is a pianist, singer, composer, music director and producer. A collaborator with a wide range, he performs and records country-wide and internationally, whether conducting the orchestra for “West Side Story” in Hawaii, or making his Mexican debut in Torreon’s “Cantos Para Hermanar al Mundo.” He is the dedicated pianist and keyboardist for the space-rock fusion band Escaper. He recently released an album of solo piano compositions, “First Takes”, available everywhere. As a singer and performer he combines “old-world charm” of classic crooners with modern, dynamic, virtuoso pianism and sundry synthesizers. Joining Phil in his Quartet is Bobby Butler on Bass and Trombone and Brian “Beat” Senders on Percussion.

A Christmas Tradition like no other!  The entire neighborhood it seems like comes down to sing their hearts out.  This years band is led by P.J. Sanford: is the brainchild of Brooklyn based, but South Carolina born musician Jay Sanford. He does all of the writing, arranging, and performing for his recorded music, including his previous original releases: “Gone to Hell” and “Farewell”. The man Jerry Lee Lewis once likened to “that Cash kid, but good” has enjoyed a long and varied career. Jack Grace is that man: a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who’s been touring and recording for over 25 years. His duet with Norah Jones, “Bad Wind Blowing” was a standout tune on his last recording, Everything I Say Is A Lie, produced by Joan Jett and Steve Earle’s former guitarist Eric Ambel. He’s performed with a diverse collection of artists, like the aforementioned Lewis as well as Doc Watson, Fishbone, Junior Brown, The Meters and has even shared the bill with Merle Haggard. Mike Ferrio's previous band, the much-feted Tandy, came to an end with the untimely death of his musical partner Drew Glackin. Good Luck Mountain is Mike Ferrio's response to the shock and grief of that event, and also a fresh start in a new direction. Good Luck Mountain is the name he's adopted for his new band as well as the name of the record; "seasoned players", he calls his new band mates, who include Konrad Meissner from The Silos (with whom Drew Glackin also played) and Matt Mays, once of The Guthries, but there's a host of other players on this album which features music that is carefully built - layers of sound that spring from some synthesiser atmospherics in the background and with changes of emphasis that are characterised by use of strings or horns.

We’re The Wonder Licks — a New York–based Americana band that plays with a mix of raw feel, timeless sound, and unstoppable energy. 

The Wonder Licks are Jacob (vocals, piano, and guitar), Tyler (drums), Sammy Westervelt (bass), and a rotating cast of players who occupy a centripetal force within New York City’s ever-developing independent music scene. Puma Perl and Friends has been merging Puma’s poetry with rock and roll and music of all genres for over 10 years. Joff Wilson (guitar), Joe Sztabnik (bass), and Dave Donen (percussion) play both original compositions and covers behind her spoken word. Each show includes a couple of songs by Joe and Joff, and the band is often joined by other friends playing everything from sax to harp to trombone to violin. Puma and the other band members have been stalwarts of the NYC downtown scene and have performed individually and with other projects throughout the United States and Europe.

SoulCake singer/songwriter/guitarist Joff Wilson leads the band; Laura Sativa brings flute and percussion to the arrangements and Sarafe is a distinctive presence on bass.  SoulCake has earned a reputation for shows that are fun and full of surprises, from unannounced guests and spontaneous repertoire to new interpretations of audience favorites.

New York City-based, British-born singer/songwriter James Maddock makes literate and heartfelt folk and Americana-influenced music. Born in Leicester, England, Maddock was a member of the band's Fire Next Time and Wood before embarking on a solo career.  He spent 2 months this Fall opening for the Counting Crows across Europe. Chris Campion has one of the longest running residencies at 11th St. Bar, "The Last Thursday of Every Month."  He brings an eclectic mix of both original and cover songs tied together by some of the best between song banter you'll ever hear. He is joined by any number of his musical co conspirators including Bennett LaGreca, Paul Giannini, Bill Ryan, Mike Cranmer, or even his brother, Billy Campion.
